I have been thinking lately that my fur babies need stylish places to lounge and I would really rather look at something with a little substance in my great room rather than what amounts to a pile of foam covered in fabric.
I would also really love if I could wash it and take it apart to replace parts if needed or if I just decide I need a change in the design.
1. One of my favorite websites, Shanty 2 Chic, posted this tutorial for a charming pet bed they made for $12! Their plans are always thorough, well-thought and easy to follow. If you are a DIY-er you will appreciate their website. They also have a show on HGTV called 'Open Concept' which is fantastic! To get this look I would stain with one coat of Hickory Stain & Finish by CeCe Caldwell's.
2. Prodigal Pieces has a how-to for building this bed which is adorable too! This look can be achieved with a couple of coats of CeCe's Walnut Stain & Finish from Vintage Bette.
3. 1001 Pallets hit a home run with this double dog bed project on their website. They provide a video tutorial so if you prefer watching to reading you will really like this one. Beech Nut Gray Stain & Finish is the right choice for this look if you want to use a CeCe Caldwell's product.
4. THIS BED...this bed is the one I want to make but I can't find a tutorial on Pinterest. I will have to broaden my search for plans and maybe even pay for some. I want to paint it in a very light gray so I will probably mix up some Seattle Mist and Simply White and then finish it with Flat Matte.
